The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operating effectiveness of production and packaging equipment and other building repair/upgrade requirements.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
New equipment installations including oversight of work being completed by outside contractors.
Develops preventive maintenance plans utilizing PM software.
Develops Maintenance Request Program to allow departments to make requests for non-emergency repairs.
Makes recommendations to improve overall production efficiencies and to reduce waste.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Maintains technical knowledge through additional training.
Controls downtime by training production workers on equipment operating techniques.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Mechanical and Electrical aptitude
Previous experience in a plant manufacturing environment preferably food manufacturing and packaging.
Ability to work 1st, 2nd shifts and weekends as required.
Knowledge of electronic controls.
Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment in an entrepreneurial business setting.
Ability to be a self-starter and solve problems quickly and innovatively.
Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Detail oriented, accurate and organized.
Fluency in English required.
Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
